Privacy Policy

We collect as little personal data as we need to run Gigsouk Jobs, we don't sell it, and we don't use advertising trackers.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address, and the name, headline, location, bio and LinkedIn or portfolio links you choose to add to your profile.
• Profile photo and resume: if you upload them, they're stored privately with our hosting provider and only you can view or download them. Replacing or removing a file deletes the previous copy.
• Your activity: jobs you save, view and click Apply on, and the job alerts you create.
• Employer details: company profiles and job posts (these are public), and the work email used to post.
• Orders: which plan you bought, the amount and payment status. We never see or store card details.
• Searches: what you type into job search and AI search, to return results.
• Usage analytics: pages you visit, how you got here, your approximate location, device and browser, and — through session recordings — clicks, scrolling and mouse movement. Recordings mask what you type into forms, and hide the content of our free tools, your dashboard and admin pages.
• AI assistant connections (MCP): if you connect Gigsouk to an AI app such as Claude or ChatGPT, we keep which apps you connected, the tools they called and the credits used.
• Technical logs: our hosting provider records standard request logs (such as IP address and browser) for security and troubleshooting.

How we use it

• To sign you in, run your account and show your saved jobs, alerts and history.
• To publish, review and manage job posts, and to process payments.
• To send emails you need or asked for: sign-in codes, job post updates, receipts and job alerts.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
• To understand how the site is used, and find and fix problems.

Who processes it for us

• Cloudflare — hosting, database and file storage.
• Amazon Web Services (SES) — sending emails.
• Dodo Payments — payments, as merchant of record.
• Google (Google Analytics) — website usage analytics.
• Microsoft (Clarity) — heatmaps and session recordings to improve the site.

These providers may process data outside your country, under their own security and data-protection commitments.

Applying to jobs

When you click Apply you leave Gigsouk for the employer's site or email. The employer's own privacy policy covers your application.

Emails

Every job alert email links to a page where you can pause or delete the alert. Sign-in and transactional emails are sent only when needed.

Cookies

We use an essential cookie to keep you signed in, and analytics cookies from Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. See our Cookie Policy for the full list and how to opt out.

How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is active. Expired job posts may stay visible as closed listings. Order records are kept as long as needed for accounting and legal requirements. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Your choices and rights

You can update your profile, delete saved jobs and alerts, and ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to a data-protection authority.
