
- We are looking for an AP/AR Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations for our Cyprus entity.
- In this role you will process primary documents and bank statements, perform reconciliations, handle supplier and employee payments, and support monthly payroll for Cyprus-based employees.
- You will work closely with our Finance and HR teams to make sure all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Candidates must be based in Cyprus.
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process and record primary accounting documents: supplier invoices, contracts, receipts, and expense reports.
- Upload and process bank statements, and allocate transactions in the accounting system.
- Perform regular reconciliations with banks, suppliers, customers, and other counterparties.
- Prepare supplier and other company payments for approval.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Process employee advances, reimbursements, business travel expenses, and expense reports.
- Maintain an organized archive of financial documentation.
Payroll & Employee Payments
- Prepare and coordinate monthly payroll for Cyprus-based employees.
- Calculate salaries, bonuses, advances, reimbursements, and other employee-related payments.
- Handle payroll deductions and contributions, including PAYE, Social Insurance, and GHS/GESY.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding from a payroll and financial administration perspective.
- Work closely with HR to ensure accurate payroll data and timely payments.
Requirements
- 3+ year of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or AP/AR.
- Experience processing primary documents, bank statements, and reconciliations.
- Understanding of Cyprus payroll procedures, including PAYE, Social Insurance, and GHS/GESY contributions.
- Confident Excel skills and experience with accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and a proactive, hands-on approach.
- English B2+.
- Currently residing in Cyprus.
