About
Waterfall Network, founded in 2020 and headquartered with registrations in Singapore and Switzerland and an office in New York, develops a highly scalable BlockDAG EVM-compatible Layer 1 protocol for decentralized applications. The distributed protocol is based on Directed Acyclic Graph technology with fast-finality proof-of-stake consensus that enables parallel block production and high throughput while remaining fully EVM compatible for porting Ethereum dApps. Mainnet went live in mid-2024 after extensive testnet iterations and research collaborations, aiming to let validators run on low-cost hardware including laptops and mobile devices. Backed by ByteTrade Lab, Waterfall targets developers seeking scalable smart contract infrastructure without sacrificing decentralization. Expect a research-driven culture that values DAG correctness, validator accessibility and building durable, low-fee rails for decentralized application scale.
