About
Tempo, incubated in 2025 with support from Stripe and Paradigm in San Francisco, builds a payments-focused blockchain optimized for stablecoin settlement. Designed for high-throughput, low-fee transfers with built-in compliance and fiat on- and off-ramps, Tempo aims to bring internet-native money movement to merchants, platforms and fintechs. Its protocol emphasizes predictable fees, fast finality and developer tools for treasury, payouts and cross-border flows without exposing end users to chain complexity. Still early-stage, the project draws on deep payments and cryptography expertise from its backers and founding team. Headquartered in San Francisco with a small, senior engineering team, Tempo operates with startup urgency. Expect a craft-oriented, privacy-conscious culture centered on reliability, regulatory awareness and making stablecoin payments as simple as card processing.
