About
Sui Foundation, established in 2022 in Grand Cayman to steward the Sui blockchain originally built by Mysten Labs, supports a high-performance layer-1 using the Move language and parallel transaction execution. Designed for object-centric assets and sub-second finality, Sui powers gaming, DeFi and consumer apps with features like zkLogin, sponsored transactions and programmable objects. The Foundation administers grants, education, validator programs and ecosystem growth independent of the core builder while coordinating network upgrades. Headquartered in Grand Cayman with ecosystem contributors across the US, Europe and APAC, Sui serves developers launching asset-rich experiences without centralized custody. Backed by ecosystem adoption and anchored by the Move community, it emphasizes safety and scale. Expect a collaborative, ecosystem-focused culture centered on decentralization, Move advocacy and helping builders ship responsive on-chain products for mainstream audiences.
