About
Sky Mavis, founded in 2018 by Trung Nguyen, Aleksander Larsen, Andy Ho, Jeffrey Zirlin and Tu Doan in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, is the gaming studio behind Axie Infinity and the Ronin blockchain. Its flagship game pioneered play-to-earn with collectible Axies, marketplace trading and token economies that reached global adoption in 2021, while Ronin provides an Ethereum-linked sidechain optimized for gaming with low fees and fast finality. Headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City with a base in Singapore, Sky Mavis combines game development, chain infrastructure and publishing tools for player-owned economies. After navigating the 2022 Ronin bridge exploit and rebuild, the team doubled down on security, creator programs and ecosystem grants. Backed by leading investors, it continues to support developers building on Ronin. Expect a resilient, game-first culture that values community building, economy design and shipping polished experiences for mainstream players.
