About
Newton Protocol, developed by Magic Labs founded in 2018 by Sean Li and Jaemin Jin in San Francisco with the Magic Newton Foundation established in October 2024, builds verifiable automation infrastructure for AI agents and on-chain actions. Its core protocol combines trusted execution environments with zero-knowledge proofs to let agents execute cross-chain intents, rebalancing and DeFi workflows under user-defined zkPermissions with spending limits and allowlists. Designed for chain abstraction, Newton abstracts gas and signing while enforcing transparent constraints auditable on-chain. Headquartered in San Francisco with a foundation presence in the Cayman Islands and a distributed research team, Newton operates at the intersection of AI, cryptography and decentralized finance through partner integrations with wallets and rollups. Expect a research-heavy culture that values protocol correctness, thoughtful agent design and shipping reliable automation for everyday crypto users.
