About
Monad Foundation, established in December 2024 to steward the Monad blockchain originally built by Monad Labs, supports the parallel EVM Layer 1 community. The Foundation administers grants, ecosystem programs and governance coordination independent of Monad Labs' commercial engineering, funding research on parallel execution, MonadBFT and EVM compatibility. Headquartered in George Town, Cayman Islands, with a globally distributed team and contributor hubs in New York, the Foundation coordinates testnet participation, validator programs and developer onboarding for DeFi and gaming builders migrating Ethereum contracts. The network targets high throughput and low gas fees without rewriting tooling. Governed as open infrastructure, it emphasizes decentralization and ecosystem neutrality. Expect a collaborative, ecosystem-focused culture centered on performance research, developer support and expanding practical infrastructure for demanding on-chain workloads.
