About
M0, founded in 2023 by Luca Prosperi, Gregory Di Prisco and Oliver Schimek with headquarters in Zug, Switzerland, builds decentralized infrastructure for issuing custom stablecoins. Its protocol provides a federated layer where approved minters collateralize and issue M tokens backed by short-term Treasuries, with governance over collateral and rate parameters. Headquartered in Zug with distributed contributors across the US and Europe, M0 targets fintechs, funds and protocols that want branded dollar liabilities without building issuance from scratch. The design separates Minting, Collateral and Governance, emphasizing transparency, daily attestation and composability with DeFi. Still scaling mainnet adoption and partner integrations, it focuses on open, extensible money. Backed by Pantera Capital and Ribbit Capital, it operates as neutral plumbing. Expect a research and mechanism-design culture that values risk rigor, governance thoughtfulness and enabling diverse stablecoin builders.
