About
LayerZero, founded in 2021 by Bryan Pellegrino, Ryan Zarick and Caleb Banister in Vancouver and New York, builds omnichain interoperability infrastructure for blockchains. Its core protocol, LayerZero, provides lightweight messaging via ultra-light nodes and decentralized verifiers that let dApps send data between Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana, Aptos and dozens of networks without intermediary chains. Stargate and numerous DeFi apps use LayerZero for native bridging, governance and cross-chain execution. Headquartered across Vancouver and New York with a distributed research team, LayerZero combines cryptography, cross-chain security and developer SDKs for omnichain contracts. Backed by leading investors, the project emphasizes verifiable delivery and chain agnosticism. Expect a research and infrastructure culture focused on messaging reliability, security reviews and empowering builders to ship seamlessly cross-chain experiences.
