About
Jump Crypto, established in 2021 as the crypto arm of Jump Trading founded in 1999 by Bill DiSomma and Paul Gurinas in Chicago, builds trading infrastructure, research and ventures for digital assets. Its portfolio includes Pyth Network incubation, Wormhole development, Firedancer Solana client research and proprietary market making across spot and derivatives. Headquartered in Chicago with hubs in New York, London and Singapore, Jump Crypto combines high-frequency trading, cryptography and open-source contributions that influence core ecosystem performance. The team blends quantitative finance with distributed systems engineering and security auditing. Unlike a standalone startup, it operates within Jump Trading's risk and capital framework. Expect a rigorous, research-driven culture that values execution correctness, low-latency engineering and advancing core infrastructure for reliable, high-performance crypto markets.
