About
Improbable, founded in 2012 by Herman Narula, Rob Whitehead and Peter Lipka in London, develops metaverse and multiplayer infrastructure that underpins large-scale virtual worlds. Its platforms, SpatialOS and MSquared, provide networking, replication and compute orchestration that let thousands of players and AI agents interact in persistent environments. Headquartered in London with hubs in Cambridge and Edmonton, Improbable serves gaming, defense and enterprise simulations with cloud infrastructure rather than token issuance. Partnering with major studios and Web3 builders exploring open metaverse concepts, the company emphasizes low-latency networking and world persistence. Backed by leading investors, it blends games engineering with distributed systems research. Expect a systems and creative culture that values large-scale simulation craft, reliability under load and building expansive interactive worlds for broad audiences.
