About
Helius, founded in 2022 by Mert Mumtaz, Liam Vovk and Nicolas Pennie in the United States, provides Solana-native developer infrastructure spanning RPC nodes, APIs, webhooks and indexing for high-performance crypto apps. Created during the bear market by former Coinbase and Amazon engineers who met at Queen's University, Helius lets developers build without wrestling with unreliable nodes, complex streaming or costly archival data. Headquartered with a remote-first team distributed across North America, Europe and Asia, it powers staking, validator services and data tooling used throughout the Solana ecosystem. The platform emphasizes low latency, cost efficiency and reliable uptime for DeFi, payments and DePIN workloads. Backed by Haun Ventures and Founders Fund, Helius focuses on Solana-only depth over multichain breadth. Expect an engineering-heavy culture that prizes Solana expertise, performance tuning and responsive support for builders at scale.
