About
DoubleZero, founded in 2024 by Austin Federa, former Solana Foundation strategy lead, with a team of network engineers in the United States, builds a high-performance fiber network purpose-built for distributed systems and blockchains. Its protocol coordinates dedicated and contributed fiber links into a permissionless mesh that improves block propagation, reduces latency and increases resilience for validators and RPC operators. Initially focused on Solana, DoubleZero targets infrastructure that makes consensus more democratic by lowering bandwidth constraints for geographically distributed participants. Headquartered with a distributed team across North America, the project combines telecom partnerships with crypto incentive design. Still early-stage, it operates testnet deployments and ecosystem pilots. Expect an infrastructure-focused culture that values network engineering depth, carrier operations and building physical rails for open, performant blockchains.
