About
Blackbird Labs, founded in 2022 by Ben Leventhal, co-founder of Eater and Resy, in New York, builds consumer payments and loyalty infrastructure for restaurants using stablecoins and blockchain rails. Its products include Blackbird Pay for checkout, Flynet loyalty points and membership tools that let diners earn and redeem rewards across independent restaurants without interchange-heavy cards. Headquartered in New York with hubs in Los Angeles, Blackbird bridges hospitality operations with on-chain settlement, treasury and compliance behind familiar app UX. The platform targets restaurant operators seeking lower fees, direct relationships and data ownership. Backed by leading investors in hospitality and crypto, the team combines restaurant tech and Web3 expertise. Expect a product and partnership-driven culture that values hospitality craft, payments reliability and making blockchain invisible to everyday dining experiences.
